Charles River has over 30 years of experience performing metabolism studies to support the development of agrochemical compounds. Working with all common livestock species and all routes of administration, we routinely conduct studies to OECD 503 and US EPA 860.1300.
Standard species include:
- Lactating cattle
- Lactating goats
- Pigs (including neonatal and minipigs)
- Rodents
- Poultry
Our experience in formulating doses is diverse, ranging from aquatic-based solutions to oil-based suspensions.
Our scientists offer a comprehensive and integrated service for the profiling and identification of metabolites in excreta, milk, eggs and tissues. Modern chromatographic and isolation technologies are supported by QToF and IT-ToF mass spectrometers, as well as access to NMR for definitive metabolite identification. Our synthetic chemistry group can provide metabolite reference standards for future structural confirmation.
