Aged Rats and Mice for Cognitive Decline Research
|
Aged rat and mouse models are based on animals bred at Charles River. These animals begin to exhibit cognitive, biochemical and brain metabolism deficits at approximately 20 months of age. These models can be used to assess efficacy in age-related cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other diseases linked with aging. Aged rat and mouse studies can also be combined with scopolamine-induced amnesia. Aged cohorts of animals are available immediately for studies.
