Connecticut Employees Volunteer at Meal Center and Homeless Shelter
Last October, Margo and Naomi from Avian Vaccine Services volunteered at the New London Community Meal Center for their One Day activity. Alongside other community members, they helped prepare and serve a nutritious dinner to those in need.
Later that day, Margo and Naomi also visited a homeless shelter in New London, where they set up a table with warm clothes for the patrons to take. The two women held a clothing drive a few weeks prior to their One Day activities, receiving donations from coworkers, friends and family. Also, since it was after dinner hours, they provided evening snacks from the local hostess store.
Margo and Naomi said it was very satisfying to give back to the community and represent Charles River in such a positive light.
