Validated Spectroradiometry and Radiometry Systems Enhance Photosafety Capabilities

Jan 27 2012

This past December, Charles River’s Center for Photobiology at Preclinical Services, PA completed the validation of its spectroradiometry system. In the evaluation of both in vitro and in vivo phototoxicity, this system documents the spectral quality of the various ultraviolet and visible light sources.

Together with the recent validation of its state-of-the-art radiometry system, Charles River is unique to the Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry with FDA 21 CFR Part 11-compliant spectroradiometry and radiometry systems. These validations make Charles River possibly the only CRO in the industry with in-house spectrophotometric expertise and capabilities.

A Quarter Century of Commitment

Based on over 25 years of experience in regulatory photoxicology, these validations demonstrate our commitment to doing the best science possible for clients as they bring new drugs to market.
