Charles River Acquires BRASS Pte Ltd

Charles River is pleased to announce that it has acquired BRASS Pte Ltd (“BRASS”). Building on the partnership established with BRASS in 1997, Charles River aims to accelerate the growth of its portfolio of products and services in Asia by providing clients with state-of-the-art microbial detection and identification for manufacturing in the biopharmaceutical, medical device and life sciences industries. Under this acquisition, BRASS Pte Ltd will be known as Charles River Endotoxin and Microbial Detection Singapore Pte Ltd (“Charles River Singapore”) and will add to Charles River’s presence in Asia, which includes sites in Korea, India and China.
This acquisition, Charles River’s second of a laboratory business since 2012, is consistent with the division’s bid to expand their microbiological services portfolio.
