Chicken Embryo Cell Product Expansion
We have recently expanded our Avian Vaccine Services laboratory production capabilities to better serve our customer needs as demand continues to grow for primary chicken embryo cell products for research, virus propagation, QC testing and vaccine manufacturing. Renovations have occurred in our clean rooms to allow for a better work flow. We have also renovated our glassware prep room to increase throughput of reusable lab ware. We have added an automated egg opener and a new larger HEPA filtered hood that increases capacity. These changes enable us to prepare a larger quantity of cells per day while still maintaining the highest quality of sterile viable cells.
The facility is dedicated to the production of primary cells using our own Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) chicken embryos. Pre-incubated eggs are shipped from our incubation facility in Connecticut, disinfected and the cells harvested. Processing is completed and orders are shipped the same day. Whether you need CEF, CEKC, CELC, lung or dermal cells, Charles River can provide these for you in sizes ranging from our standard order of 400 million cells to over 10,000 eggs worth of cells per day. Our expanded production has made us better suited to supply all sizes of chicken embryo cell orders for your needs.
