New European and South Korean Facilities for Expanded Endotoxin and Microbial Detection

In our continuous commitment to provide our customers with the most accurate, reliable and convenient contract staff testing, we are pleased to announce the relocation of our European endotoxin and microbial detection services to a redesigned, larger facility in Ecully, France and the opening of a brand new facility in Seoul, South Korea. Our increasing global presence supports our dedication to the biopharmaceutical industry worldwide.
Covering the European market and also the Middle East and North Africa, our new Ecully, France site offers a full range of both rapid microbiology systems based on the Endosafe® cartridge technology for endotoxin testing and Accugenix® microbial identification services. This new facility not only provides additional space, but it was also purposely designed to optimize sample flow, increasing our sample processing efficiency, while also being in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and cGMP requirements. This new location allows us to answer the growing demand for contract staff services and fully integrate our microbial identification activity.
We are also proud to announce the opening of the Charles River Accugenix® contract laboratory service based in Seoul, South Korea. On September 2nd, our Asian clients were able to begin submitting samples for microbial identification tested in a cGMP quality environment. This new location will initially offer DNA-based sequencing of microorganisms and will provide access to our leading library databases, allowing customers the ability to receive the accuracy and confidence in identifications required for environmental monitoring programs globally.
These two new sites will serve the pharmaceutical, food-processing, cosmetic and nutraceutical industries with endotoxin testing that allows for the control of all types of injectables and medical devices. Identification methods at both new facilities are DNA sequencing based or spectorphotometric based.
