New Zealand White Rabbit Expanded Production Capacity and Diet Acclimation Services

We recently completed an expansion of our New Zealand White (NZW) rabbit production rooms. This increase in availability enables us to meet the growing demand for this model. Rabbits are available at any age, can be ordered as time mated or time pregnant animals and can be acclimated to specific diets prior to shipment.
Diet Acclimation Services
Rabbits are sensitive to shipment and quite often require a longer period of acclimation to a new environment or diet. Our rabbits are currently fed diet #5079 from Agribrands, Ontario but Charles River also provides our clients the option of requesting rabbits acclimated to Purina-5325 or Purina-5322 certified irradiated diets in order to reduce the probability of inappetence upon arrival at a client facility. The acclimation regimen and period can be determined by the client.
