Major Organizations within the Biomedical Industry

AAALAC
The Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs.

AALAS
The American Association for Animal Laboratory Sciences is an organization committed to serving society through education and the advancement of responsible laboratory animal care and use. One of AALAS' goals is to be a resource for continuing education, training, and knowledge exchange.

AVMA
The American Veterinary Medical Association is a not-for-profit association that represents veterinarians in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services.

BIO
The Biotechnology Industry Organization’s priorities include leadership on drug safety issues, supporting stem cell research and state-level funding for all biotechnology platforms, tax reform, and support for agricultural and industrial applications.

FBR
