Anatomy and Aseptic Surgery

This full-day course is a practical introduction for those about to start surgery for the first time. The rat or mouse is fully examined from an anatomical perspective, with body cavities explored, organs identified and major blood vessels traced. Participants are then introduced to the process of properly preparing both themselves and the animal for aseptic surgery. The course is completed with demonstration and practice of various closure techniques, including suturing, adhesives and clips, under close supervision. On successful completion, a certificate of attendance is given, which can be used for Training CPD purposes.
