Biomethodology of the Laboratory Mouse
This one-day course covers a whole range of theoretical and practical aspects of working with laboratory mice. We discuss the main strains of mice and their characteristics (can be tailored to suit the client), their husbandry, identification, feeding, handling, dosing and sampling. The practical aspects of the course allow plenty of time for participants to handle the animals under expert supervision and to practice various techniques as befits their individual requirements. Participants are given an illustrated handbook with practical information for later reference. The course can be delivered at one of our premises, or we can travel to meet the client’s requirements. At the end of the course, participants who have achieved a recognized standard in the practical aspects will be given a certificate identifying the skills attained and the level of competence achieved. This can be used to amend their personal training record.
