Biomarkers for Beginners
May 27 2015
Determining efficacy of candidate therapies is of paramount importance, both clinically and at the discovery/development level. Biomarkers are generally referred to as measurable indicators of a biological state, process or pathology. They can play a very important role in drug discovery and development by providing an early view into assessing efficacy and toxicity of candidate therapies. This webinar provides a very basic overview of the application of biomarkers in the discovery and development of new medical entities, including the various types of biomarkers, their application to preclinical studies and their translatability into the clinic.
