We are committed to the humane care of the research animals produced and used in all Charles River activities.
In addition to their intrinsic value, these animals play a critical role in the search for cures to human and animal diseases. We are all committed to the highest standards of animal care and do not tolerate any mistreatment or cruelty to animals. It is each person’s job responsibility to ensure humane care, and thus it is their responsibility to report any inhumane, cruel, or abusive treatment of animals that they may observe. Failure to report an incident may be seen as support for the act.
