Charles River Now Offers Fresh Hepatocytes from a Range of New Species
October 26, 2010 - Hepatocyte assays as a part of your lead optimization program can serve as a cost-effective, early-stage in vitro model for metabolic profiling and stability, hepatoxicity, bioavailability and many other applications. To better meet your needs in this area, Piedmont Research Center, which is a part of the Charles River Discovery and Imaging Services group, now offers fresh mouse and rat hepatocytes in addition to our cryopreserved ones. We have also increased the range of species from which you can choose your hepatocytes.
Supplementing the convenience of our cryopreserved stock, the addition of fresh hepatocytes to our offerings provides greater ease of use as well as increased viability and robustness for your early metabolic and hepatoxicity analysis. New species are also available both in stock and upon client request. Inventory can be reviewed and ordered online through your unique buyer login (existing clients / new buyers), with accommodation for individual or standing orders.
All cells are verified to be metabolically active by ECOD QC testing and are suitable for both plated or suspension applications. For added value and one-stop support to further enhance your drug discovery program, Charles River offers customized hepatocyte orders isolated after in vivo dosing with a single investigational agent or in combination with a standard of care, as well as p450 induction.
With rapid availability, large lot numbers, dependability of yield and high cell viability, all at costs that consistently save your drug discovery dollars, you can rely on Charles River to provide high-quality hepatocytes to meet your program needs.
