Human Viral PCR Panels Now Offered for Research Biologic Screening

August 10, 2009 – As part of the continued expansion of our Research Animal Diagnostic Services portfolio, we now offer Human Viral PCR Panels for the precautionary screening of your research biologics. These panels can help to ensure that your biologics are free of human infectious agents that can adversely affect your in vivo research.

To help provide the most accurate results, our Human Viral PCR service incorporates TaqMan® PCR technologies. We incorporate proprietary Spike and Nucleic Acid Recovery controls and traditional positive and negative template controls to prevent false-positive results. In order to limit the potential for cross contamination, we extract your samples in their own group, independent from any other institution.

Click here to view our Human Viral PCR Panel flyer, which provides a list of agents included in our new panel as well as more information about the TaqMan® PCR technology and our PCR controls.

For more information about how to submit samples for diagnostic testing, click here. To receive complimentary sample shipping materials (sample vials, insulted shipping boxes, labels and a submission form), please use the Diagnostic Services Shipping Materials Request Form.

Please note that this service is available for research purposes only.
