Overview of Models
The p53 TGEM® knockout rat [Crl:WI(UL)-Tp53m1/Hubr] develops a variety of malignant tumors, including sarcomas and lymphomas. This model’s tumor onset and mortality statistics improve timelines for carcinogenicity testing. To learn more, click here.
The Bcrp TGEM® knockout rat [Crl:WI(UL)-Abcg2m1/Hubr] carries a mutation within the catalytic center ABC transporter-like domain of the rat Abcg2 (BCRP) gene, eliminating all wild-type protein. In vivo drug transport studies conducted in this rat model will enhance the ability to predict how drug candidates will perform in humans. To learn more, click here.
