The Corporate Senior VP of Corporate Development is responsible for directing the global corporate development function, which includes an active merger and acquisition practice; evaluating, identifying and pursuing a wide variety of strategic business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions that are compatible with the company's long-term goals; leading and participating in the development of joint ventures, market opportunities, mergers/acquisitions and monitoring technology developments; assisting with the development of long-range global strategic plans for the company by working with the Senior VP of Corporate Strategy.
This position is responsible for overseeing the worldwide tax provision process; implementing software solution for non-US tax provisions; reviewing non-US income tax returns; coordinating company’s non-US entities to ensure current tax planning strategies are properly documented; coordinating the preparation of US tax returns with outside advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings; calculating company’s effective tax rate on a quarterly and annual basis; preparing FAS 109 work papers; ensuring that tax accounts within the general ledger are maintained properly; responding to federal, state and local income tax notices and managing tax examinations; recommending corporate tax reduction strategies; and managing the sales and use tax compliance process.
