Our Ecotoxicology group is experienced in conducting studies required to assess the environmental risk of agrochemicals. The group offers a range of toxicity-based studies, including:

  • Avian
  • Fish, including acute, chronic, reproductive, and development studies
  • Bioconcentration, bioaccumulation, and metabolism in fish and invertebrates
  • Aquatic plants
  • Terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates (including beneficial insects)
  • Soil micro-organisms
  • Seedling emergence
  • Growth and vegetative vigour


Charles River has substantial experience in handling materials that are difficult and challenging, such as volatile, unstable, or poorly soluble chemicals.
