field trials

For almost 20 years, Charles River has been offering an international field trials service for a wide range of studies. Our field bases in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain are fully accredited to both GLP and GEP (Good Efficacy Practice). We also offer a pan-European service through long-established collaborations with partners in Central and Eastern Europe.

Study Designs

  • Crop residue trials
  • Efficacy trials
  • Home and garden/amenity trials
  • Variety and seed treatment trials
  • Glasshouse and forestry trials
  • Soil dissipation and accumulation trials
  • Rotational crop studies
  • Operator exposure studies

We have an established, temperature-controlled sample shipping network to facilitate sample transfer from the field to either our analytical laboratory in Edinburgh or to your own facility. Our specialized residue analysts provide analytical support using the latest technologies. In addition, our services meet the increasing analytical demands posed by new actives, as well as for re-registration and new formulations of more established products.

Study Directors experienced in multi-site studies are available. In addition, all of our scientists work to harmonized SOPs with centralized pro forma statements and notebooks, which maintains the same high standard of service throughout the group.
