Charles River has been performing cattle and poultry feeding studies for over 15 years. All of our studies are designed to comply with current US and EU regulations.
Typical Study Designs
Lactating Cattle
- Daily or twice-daily dosing for at least 28 days [capsule or admixed to feed (concentrates)]
- Dose preparation in-house as required
- Twice-daily milking using individual stainless steel vacuum-operated milking machines
- Daily food consumption and milk production monitoring
- Concurrent residue analysis of milk samples
Laying Hens
- Environmentally controlled study rooms
- Individual stainless steel cages
- Individual food consumption and egg laying records
- Dose preparation in-house as required
- Daily or twice-daily dosing for at least 28 days [capsule or admixed to feed (concentrates)]
- Concurrent residue analysis of egg samples
