In conjunction with our cell banking services, Biopharmaceutical Services (BPS) understands the necessity to ensure both the safety and security of client cell banks. BPS offers clients the opportunity for long-term storage of cell banks in a current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) facility that is highly controlled, secured, and monitored. With more than ten years of experience, BPS has developed processes to minimize the risks associated with cell bank storage without hampering client accessibility.
Security, Continuous Monitoring, Compliance
To minimize the risk of a freezer malfunction, each client cell bank is divided and stored in separate cGMP liquid nitrogen freezers (less than -150◦C). The liquid nitrogen levels and freezer temperatures are under a strict 24-hour monitoring system, which detects any temperature excursions. A multilayered approach is taken to ensure security of the storage facility and client’s valuable resources.
Regulatory Compliance
All three BPS sites (Malvern, Edinburgh, and Ballina) strictly abide by global regulatory guidelines to ensure that all facilities, practices, and procedures are in compliance with said guidelines.
All cell banks are in compliance with both the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and International Conference of Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines.
