The Charles River Biotech Symposium will unite drug development professionals in an interactive setting designed to provide insights into nonclinical development of biologics, including regulatory issues and innovative approaches for problem-solving. The Symposium will feature presentations on the nonclinical development of specific products or topics of general interest spanning a wide range of biopharmaceuticals, including monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins, cytokines, enzymes, oligonucleotides, polypeptides, and gene therapy. The nonclinical issues that arise during the development of biopharmaceuticals present challenges for even the most experienced scientist and require creative strategies for resolution. Attendees will benefit from hearing the thoughtful perspectives presented and by engaging in robust interactive discussions. One half-day session will focus on immunomodulatory biologics. Also, the highly popular case studies session will be held on the first afternoon.
Given its focus on specific issues and effective strategies for problem solving, the Symposium has become known as a unique platform for scientific exchange and networking, as well as education. The spirit of the meeting fosters extensive information sharing and lively debate and, hence, it is well supported by recognized leaders in the field of nonclinical biopharmaceutical development. Newcomers are typically impressed by the unique blend of basic science and its integration into novel applications for drug development.
On Sunday, September 7, preceding the Biotech Symposium, we will conduct a 1-day educational workshop on immunogenicity testing that will feature interesting case study examples utilizing immunogenicity testing strategies. The registration application and fee will be separate from that of the Biotechnology Symposium.
