Endosafe-IPT (In vitro Pyrogen Test)

The Endosafe™-IPT is an in vitro pyrogen test that accurately predicts the human response to pyrogens, including endotoxins, yeasts, viruses, parasites, and other fever-causing agents. A recently completed three year study by the European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM) has validated the IPT as an alternative to the rabbit pyrogen test. The ECVAM study is now under review by the European Pharmacopeia. The IPT is an ELISA assay that can be a particularly effective tool for measuring pyrogens in complex biologics, blood products, cellular therapies, and medical devices. The test can also be used to effectively detect air-borne pyrogens.

We also offer testing with the IPT kit as a contract testing service in our USA and French laboratories.
