LAL Proficiency Test Program (PTP)

Charles River Laboratories' Proficiency Test Program (PTP) is a quarterly audit of LAL analysts to ensure internal quality assurance, verify method and report validation, and identify trends and possible training needs.

Participating analysts test a blind sample provided by Charles River Laboratories. After testing is complete, the analyst's methodology, results, and report are examined for accuracy in accordance with EP and USP regulations. A confidential report is then provided back to the laboratory with detailed results from the audit.
