Accugenix Microbial DetectionOctober 5, 2012 – Accugenix, the newest addition to the Charles River Endotoxin and Microbial Detection (EMD) portfolio of products and services, focused on providing exceptional QC solutions and is the premier provider of FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant contract microbial testing services.

With the addition of Accugenix, Charles River is now able to provide you with a full line of microbial identification solutions, including: 

Genotypic Identification - Our sequence-based genetic microbial identification services, AccuGENX-ID®, are considered the industry’s “gold standard” methods of choice for moderate and complex applications, such as high-risk manufacturing, sterility failures, final product releases and testing for sterile fill facilities.

Proteotypic Identification - Accugenix offers AccuPRO-ID®, a proteotypic method based on MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry technology.

Sequence Analysis - Our AccuBLAST® service addresses the needs of customers utilizing in-house microbial identification systems (MicroSEQ®) who require a higher level of expertise in data analysis, report interpretation, library coverage for accurate microbial identification.

Strain Typing - As a complement to our sequence-based microbial identification services, Accugenix offers our AccuGENX-ST™ multi and single locus sequence typing (MLST, SLST) service, as well as automated ribotyping (BacRib) for strain-level characterization and tracking of bacterial isolates.
