Charles River Enters Social Media
September 16, 2011 - In an effort to add value to customers, Charles River has built a presence on all of the major social media platforms. These platforms, which include LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, allow us to: collaborate with you more easily; share our best practices, advice, scientific knowledge and resources; update you on product and service offerings; as well as address questions or handle feedback in a new dynamic way.
As of this month, we have officially launched the following social media platforms:
- Twitter–to inform you of tradeshows and other events. With Charles River’s Twitter account–@CRiver_Events–you can keep track of details on the latest events for which Charles River will be participating, such as times, dates, presentations and talks. Links to scientific articles, videos, news and other resources will be posted as well.
- LinkedIn–to engage with scientific groups and post available career opportunities. Through LinkedIn, you can join conversations on current scientific issues at the bench and beyond, and can connect with Charles River professionals–there to answer questions, resolve issues, and share knowledge and expertise. You will also be able to interact with Charles River specialty groups (e.g., Ocular Research Group), as well as search for positions within our organization.
- Facebook–to engage members of our industry and build brand awareness. Through Facebook, you can stay up-to-date on news as well as initiatives and promotions, new product and service offerings, fundraising efforts, and event announcements from Charles River. In addition, you will be able to access articles published by our scientific staff and engage with members of the research community as a whole.
- YouTube–to transmit core Charles River messages through video. With YouTube, you can view high-quality videos we produce in an effort to visually present our mission, values and products and services.
We are excited about the opportunity to engage our customers through social media, to build and contribute to scientific communities, to initiate and participate in conversations and to stimulate real, productive connections and long-lasting professional relationships.
We encourage you to “Like” us on Facebook, “Follow” us on Twitter, view our YouTube videos, and actively participate in online conversations through our LinkedIn groups and discussion boards. Should you have any questions or comments, please contact us at askcharlesriver@crl.com.
