With the expected changes in demographics over the next 10-15 years, there is a growing need to increase and accelerate the development of safe and effective therapies for eye disorders. Charles River has the necessary understanding of eye-related diseases and conditions as well as the technical ability and experience to guide your new drugs and treatments through the development process as efficiently as possible.

Through our Research Models and Preclinical Services groups, we offer you an integrated approach to ophthalmology research. Compounds or implantable devices intended for ocular treatment can be assessed for efficacy, safety and toxicity.
