cell and virus seed bank storage
|
In conjunction with our cell banking and vaccine production services, Charles River Biopharmaceutical Services (BPS) can help you ensure both the safety and security of your cell and virus seed banks. BPS provides long-term storage of client banks according to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) in a highly controlled, secure and monitored environment. With more than ten years of experience, BPS has developed processes to minimize the risks associated with cell bank storage, without hampering client accessibility.
Security, Continuous Monitoring, Compliance
To minimize the risk of a freezer malfunction, each client bank is divided and stored in separate cGMP liquid nitrogen freezers (less than -150◦C) or -70°C freezers, as appropriate. The liquid nitrogen levels and freezer temperatures are under a continuous 24-hour monitoring system. The security of the storage facility and the client’s valuable resources are ensured by a fully redundant backup system.
Regulatory Compliance
BPS strictly abides by global regulatory guidelines to ensure that all facilities, practices and procedures are in compliance. All cell and virus seed banks are manufactured and stored in compliance with both the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and International Conference of Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines.
