Central Nervous System Models | Charles River Discovery Services

Spinal Cord Injury Models

Charles River Discovery Services' spinal cord injury (SCI) models apply NYU impactor or hemisection in order to induce functionally and histologically relevant injury. The ability to look at short-term histological changes as well as long-term and more comprehensive outcomes within an extensive functional battery offers powerful tools to evaluate elements of neuroprotection and neuroregeneration. All studies can be customized and adjusted as per client needs.

Models for Spinal Cord Injury

  • Mild/Moderate T10 Contusion injury
  • Severe T10 Contusion injury
  • Hemisection model (unilateral injury)
