2012 Biotechnology Symposium: Call for Speakers
February 8, 2012 – Chares River is actively recruiting speakers for our Annual Symposium on Biotechnology-Derived Therapeutics on September 10-12 at the Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa Valley, CA. Submit a presentation proposal to speak about your specific program, general issues associated with product development, or hot topics of concern within the biotechnology community.
The registration fee will be waived for all speakers. In addition, to express our appreciation and facilitate networking among the faculty, there will be a speaker dinner on Sunday night.
This is the Biotechnology Symposium’s 18th year and we are once again looking forward to uniting drug development professionals in an interactive setting designed to provide insights into the issues associated with the development of biopharmaceuticals. This year’s venue offers many attractions and was carefully chosen to foster both scientific and interpersonal exchange.
While some sessions are already starting to take shape, we are open to suggestions regarding theme and topic and welcome your proposals for presentations. We are flexible about the boundaries of what we consider biotechnology-derived therapeutics. Propose topics about specific programs, general issues in product development, or key topics of interest within the biopharmaceutical community.
The most common paradigm for presentations is referred to as the development story. Development stories are typically project-specific or focused on a particular therapeutic application. These types of presentations review the discovery research or core technology platform that led to the identification of the development candidate. The project should have also progressed at least part way through the IND-supporting toxicity and ADME studies, and if there is clinical experience with the molecule, a discussion of nonclinical-clinical correlations is desirable.
As an alternative to the development story format, we encourage presentations that address more general issues associated with biotherapeutic product development or key topics of concern within the biotechnology community.
