AALAS Foundation
The future of the biomedical science profession depends on promoting the benefits of biomedical research through public outreach and ensuring that high-quality training, educational programs and materials are available for those working in the profession of laboratory animal science. The AALAS Foundation funds the development and production of programs and materials that promote public awareness of the benefits of biomedical research and enhance the responsible use of laboratory animals.
Kids 4 Research
Kids 4 Research is a unique initiative to provide information to students, teachers and parents on responsible laboratory animal care and use in biomedical research, testing and education.
AREA Program
Since 1995, AALAS has conducted the AREA program (Animal Research Education & Awareness). This program promotes the benefits and importance of laboratory animal science and biomedical research to middle/high school students and educators.
