The addition of experts and scientists from WIL Research brings fresh perspectives and years of experience to our growing Safety Assessment team. Take a moment for a quick “meet and greet” with a few of our new team members.

Danielle Brown
Head, Specialty Pathology Services, DVM, MS, DACVP, DABT
Danielle is a member of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP), Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP) and Society of Toxicology (SOT). Within STP, she is the co-chair of the Career Development and Outreach Committee and sits on the editorial board for Toxicologic Pathology. Her expertise is in stereology and image analysis on both GLP and discovery studies, and she also has an interest in hepatobiliary pathology.

Chris Farabaugh
Director, Analytical Services & Site Head, MS, PhD
Chris has been in the CRO world for 15 years. He started as a bench scientist in genetic and molecular toxicology, and then began supporting study directors. Chris earned his MS and PhD in Environmental Science and Public Policy and became a study director. In 2011, Chris took on the role of Assistant Director of Genetic Toxicology, added Site Lead responsibilities in 2013 and became the Director of Analytical Services in 2016.

Wilbert Frieling
Corporate VP Safety Assessment, France & the Netherlands, DVM, ERT
Wilbert brings over 22 years of experience to the team. He is on the boards of Stichting Informatie Dierproeven (SID) and European Animal Research Association (EARA), two societies that support communication on animal experimentation. Wilbert is also a member of the Dutch Association of Toxicology and Society of Veterinarians. He has significant experience and expertise in toxicology.

Edward Marsden
Associate Director, Head of DART and Juvenile Toxicology, BSc, ERT
Edward has been at the Lyon “Les Oncins” site since 1994. He is currently a council member of the European Teratology Society and is also a member of both the French Toxicology Society and the Minipig Research Forum. He brings expertise in DART and juvenile toxicology services, particularly with the minipig.

Iris van de Gevel
Regulatory Affairs Manager, MSc, ERT
Iris is a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the agrochemical and biocide industry, with expertise in occupational risk assessments, mammalian toxicology and regulatory strategies. She is a Certified Toxicologist with the Dutch Society of Toxicology and EUROTOX. She volunteers for Medical Checks for Children, offering medical support to children in orphanages and schools in remote areas.

Andrew M. Vick
Senior Site Director, PhD
Andrew has been in the industry for over 18 years, working in Pharma for nearly 10 years and in CROs for the past 9 years. Currently he sits on the Board of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and on the executive committee of the AAPS Foundation, where he is on the ballot for AAPS President-Elect. He is also President of the Board of The College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University. His expertise is in PK/PD data analysis and biologic modalities discovery and development. Andrew has supported drug development from lead optimization discovery through Phase 3 clinical development.
