Charles River Laboratories offers a comprehensive support program for the implementation and evaluation of reproductive and developmental toxicology studies that include the assessment of both male and female reproductive toxicology, as well as the assessment of both in vivo and in vitro developmental toxicology.

Our mobile services are unique in the industry as we offer specialists, all instrumentation, plus validated technologies to conduct critical end point measurements at clients' sites. Our expertise in protocol design, study management, and data interpretation provides a full range of services designed to include all aspects of reproductive and developmental studies.

In the development of new drugs or other chemical agents, it is important to obtain an indication of potential toxicity as early as possible. Typically, information on potential reproductive toxicity is not available until later in the product development process. However, Charles River offers specialized in vitro developmental toxicity testing utilizing the Whole Embryo Culture (WEC) technique.
