qPCR testing can be used to determine a two-fold difference in copy number between hemizygote and homozygote transgenic animals. Charles River offers off-the-shelf qPCR assays for common elements, such as neomycin, luciferase, GFP, lacZ and Cre recombinase, as well as custom gene-specific assay development. All assays are designed in-house and are rigorously optimized and validated to produce the clearest results possible.
