Parkinson's Disease Model

Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder of  the central nervous system. The motor symptoms of Parkinson's result from the death of dopamine-generating cells in the substantia nigra.

Charles River conducts contract studies in several established animal models of Parkinson's disease to test the efficacy of novel compounds. These models to take into account both acute and symptomatic effects of Parkinson's disease.
