Inflammation-induced Multiple Sclerosis Models

This platform for multiple sclerosis (MS) focuses on induction of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) in rats and mice.

EAE is induced via injection of an inoculum containing either myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) or proteolipid protein (PLP). Available models include acute, progressive or relapsing-remitting disease course with elements of inflammation and neurodegeneration, components relevant to human MS.
