Our spinal cord injury models apply NYU impactor or hemisection in order to induce functionally and histologically relevant injury. The ability to look at short-term histological changes as well as long-term and more comprehensive outcomes within an extensive functional battery offers powerful tools to evaluate elements of neuroprotection and neuroregeneration.
