monoclonal antibodies. Customers have the choice between cost-efficient
complete packages or individual development and production modules that are
optimized for their specific application. Additionally, we offer antibody
purification and labeling for small-scale through bulk production. Our experts
will assist you throughout the entire production process, as well as during
additional antibody characterization. If you require a special service
such as antibody fragmentation or gold coupling, we will be happy to
discuss how we can meet your individual need.
Success in the field of antibody production depends not only on the
immunogenic potential of the antigen, but also factors like the housing and
handling of the animals. Since animal stress can adversely impact antibody
production, Charles River works hand-in-hand with the scientific community to
optimize living conditions and handling procedures to reach the highest
possible standards for minimizing the stress factor. Charles River uses animals
from its specific-pathogen-free (SPF) breeding facilities for
immunization, resulting in a minimized background signal of the serum and an
identical genetic background. Furthermore, all procedures performed during
immunization are described in our Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) to
ensure a high-quality product.
All projects are treated with strict confidentiality. Used animals,
developed antigens, and monoclonal hybridoma cell lines remain the exclusive
property of the customer.
