Avian Services
Incubation Services
We offer incubation and delivery services to customers located within a 300-mile radius of our SPF Incubation Center in Franklin, Connecticut; Extertal, Germany; and Mohacs, Hungary. Our incubation capacity offers timesaving flexibility to both the large volume vaccine manufacturer and the small volume researcher that require started embryos (5 -11 days of age).
Testing Services
Our avian laboratory testing services support serological profiling, virus isolation, and vaccine testing. Services under the 9 CFR category include:
- 9 CFR 113.31 - Detection of avian lymphoid leukosis. A p27 antigen ELISA is performed in place of CF.
- 9 CFR 113.34 - Detection of hemagglutinating virus
- 9 CFR 113.37 - Detection of pathogens by the chicken embryo inoculation test
- 9 CFR 113.46 - Detection of cytopathogenic and/or hemadsorbing agents
- 9 CFR 113.26 - Detection of viable bacteria and fungi except live vaccine
- 9 CFR 113.27 - Detection of extraneous viable bacteria and fungi in live vaccine
We welcome the opportunity to consult with you on your customized testing requirements.
Research Services
Research services assist the development of research products requiring filtered-air-positive-pressure (FAPP) facilities and SPF chickens. Protocols for 9 CFR testing for avian pathogens and product evaluation studies are well tested by our staff, though customer-submitted protocols are also welcome.
