2D morphometric analysis is often combined with histopathology during routine toxicology studies to provide additional quantitative information. However, the data produced using this method is highly biased and often is not representative of the tissue as a whole.
This webinar discusses the value of stereology as an alternative image analysis method by addressing the following:
- Stereology as an efficient way to obtain absolute 3D quantitative data from 2D tissue sections
- Contrast of stereology to and limitations of 2D morphometry
- Regulatory perspectives on 3D stereology
