Charles River Prize
The Charles River Prize is awarded in recognition of outstanding contributions to laboratory animal science and medicine and has a global reach. The presentation of the prize takes place at the annual AALAS Awards Ceremony. Presenting at the North American laboratory animal science organization’s annual meeting provides the perfect forum for this special recognition of exceptional achievement in laboratory animal science and medicine.
Charles River Medallion
The Charles River Medallion is administered through the Laboratory Animal Management Association, which advances the laboratory animal management profession through education, knowledge exchange and professional development. Members represent most of our major customers. The medallion is given in “recognition of distinguished contributions to the field of laboratory animal management by an administrator or manager who is a member of the National Laboratory Animal Management Association (LAMA) and is currently engaged in laboratory animal management.”
Laboratory Welfare Training Exchange (LAWTE) Poster Awards
The LAWTE aims to promote an information exchange among laboratory animal welfare trainers on training programs, systems, materials and services for the purpose of promoting the highest standards of laboratory animal care and use. LAWTE supports awards for the best posters at its bi-annual meeting.
