Dr. Rowe provides technical and scientific oversight for humanized mouse model development and production.
Prior to joining Charles River, she worked as the Director of Lab Operations for HuMurine Technologies. Dr. Rowe specializes in the development and production of humanized mice, which can be used for research in several therapeutic areas, including stem cell research, immuno-oncology, HIV gene therapy, and infectious diseases.
Dr. Rowe received a BS from UC San Diego and a PhD from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Her doctoral research involved the development of a Hu-SCID mouse model to test novel therapeutic targets against human herpes viruses, and demonstrated that antiviral compounds that target the host cell and cell cycle enzymes were viable alternatives to viral targets.
