Michael Caruso, PhD, joined Charles River in 2018 as a Study Director in General Toxicology. Dr. Caruso received his PhD in Biobehavioral Health from the Pennsylvania State University and came to Charles River following a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics at the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Charles River to focus on safety assessment research, he conducted interdisciplinary research focused on identifying and characterizing the environmental and biological factors that promote comorbidity between psychiatric disorders and drug abuse using behavioral, pharmacology, and biochemical research techniques. Dr. Caruso has authored numerous presentations, abstracts, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
