Scott Maidment, BSC

Research Leader, Biology

Scott is a research leader in the HTS Biology team at Charles River, and manages screening projects from the initial assay development and validation stages through to the primary screen and hit confirmation assays. He has previously led hit identification projects using a broad range of cellular and biochemical assays for targets, including GPCRs, ion channels, enzymes and PPIs, across many therapeutic areas.

In his previous roles, Scott worked in the biotech sector for PolyMASC Pharmaceuticals investigating the use of polymer modifications of proteins to improve their biopharmaceutical properties and at the University of Manchester studying the role of stress hormones in disease progression.

Scott obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Surrey.
