Travis Wilson

Biomechanics Scientist

Travis N. Wilson, is the Biomechanics Scientist of the Surgery and Efficacy Department at Charles River Labs, Mattawan. His pre-clinical research experience began at the Mattawan, MI site (formerly known as MPI Research) in 2007. Travis is responsible for the biomechanical testing, micro-CT analysis, DXA analysis and high-resolution radiographic imaging. Travis serves as a scientific resource for our research scientists/study directors, surgical staff, management, and clients. He has experience with both GLP and non-GLP studies related to a wide range of species (mice to sheep) and models (critical/non-critical defect, osteotomy/fixation, infection, PLF, dental implant, OVX, OA, etc.). Travis specializes in developing custom methods and procedures for novel treatments and medical devices. He received his BS in Biology from Lake Superior State University in 2006 and completed his MS with a specialty in Laboratory Animal Science from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2018. Travis is an active member of the Orthopaedic Research Society, Society for Biomaterials, and Society of Photo-optical Instrumentation Engineers
