Yuan Lu, MD, MS is a research scientist at Charles River Laboratories in Toxicology Department. In this role, she provides her scientific expertise for study management, data interpretation, study reporting, and regulatory compliance assurance.
Prior to starting at Charles River, Yuan was an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. In addition to teaching, she wrote and submitted research proposals, managed research grants, managed research team and laboratory, initiated and established interdisciplinary collaborations with other universities, planned and executed research projects investigating the molecular signaling pathways in disease models and drug development, published 30+ manuscripts and book chapters in high profile journals. She was editor and peer reviewer for many scientific journals. She also severed as M.D. candidate recruiter and interviewer for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Yuan’s education and certifications include M.S. in Molecular Pharmacology from Chinese Academy of Medical Science in Beijing, China and M.D. from Ningxia Medical University in Ningxia, China.
