Charles River Regulatory Affairs & Compliance is pleased to highlight the recent promotions of Stephanie Rene, Paul Sidney, and Nancy Catricks!
Stephanie Rene has been promoted to Associate Director, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance at Charles River Montreal.
Having begun her career as an immunology scientist, she has, over the past 15 years, risen through the ranks of Regulatory Compliance. It is in this role that she has demonstrated her ability to contribute effectively and cooperatively across all business groups, proving to be an invaluable regulatory leader in such projects as the newly implemented Shanghai compliance program.
Stephanie’s new responsibility will be to oversee Quality at the Montreal facility (Senneville and Sherbrooke), which comprises of 180 animal rooms and 1200 employees.
With Stephanie now taking the helm at Montreal, Paul Sidney has stepped into a new role as well. Paul Sidney has been promoted to Executive Director, Quality Assurance, Mergers, Acquisitions, and Integration Support. In his new position, Paul will oversee coordination of QA and Regulatory Affairs related to mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities. He will work closely with business leaders and provide strategic counsel and guidance related to Quality Systems. In addition, he will develop robust integration plans that incorporate quality and compliance best practices. Paul’s previous experience supporting the successful due diligence process and integration of recent acquisitions makes him ideally suited for this new position.
He will continue to report to Barbara Patterson with a dotted line reporting relationship to Joe LaPlume, Corporate Senior Vice President, and Corporate Development.
Nancy Catricks has been promoted to Senior Director North American GLP QA. Nancy joined Charles River in 2001 and held various scientific roles before joining the regulatory compliance team.
In this new position, Nancy will assume responsibility for the North American GLP Quality Assurance groups, which include our US GLP sites and our two Canadian GLP facilities. She will identify and implement QA best practices to ensure our sites have superior GLP compliance programs. Additionally, she will collaborate with her colleagues in Europe to provide support and counsel, while also providing the QA leadership required to ensure our North American GLP sites achieve their business objectives. Nancy has extensive experience and a proven track record for integrating compliance groups within the US. She will continue to report to Barbara Patterson.
