TRPC3 (transient receptor potential channel, subtype C3) is a non-selective, calcium-permeable cation channel. TRPC3 channels, activated via phospholipase C stimulation, influence cerebellar development and cardiac contractility. In cell-based assays for TRPC3 activity, the channel is typically activated indirectly via stimulation of a GPCR coupled to phospholipase C.
