Senior Lecturer, Integrative Pharmacology
Guest Blogger Manasi Nandi is a senior lecturer in integrative pharmacology at King’s College London. She leads a research group focusing on cardiovascular dysfunction in disorders such as pulmonary hypotension and septic shock. She recently transitioned from wet lab pharmacology to data sciences following a new collaboration with mathematician, Philip Aston. The team are developing a method to extract more information from routine vital signs signals such as blood pressure and ECG. They are partnering with industry, clinical and academic researchers in order to assess the utility of the method in areas such as IND efficacy and safety assessment and for the earlier detection of deteriorations in conditions such as septic shock.
