CDC Updates COVID Travel Warnings
Due to the continued spread of COVID-19, especially the Delta variant, the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued 'very high' travel warnings for 16 new destinations recently, bringing the total of Level 4 risk destinations to 70. Newly added countries, which are defined as 'very high' by having more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past month, include Ireland, Greece, and Iran.
The CDC recommends avoiding travel to Level 4 destinations, and also recommends getting vaccinated before traveling to any location. Only 50 places are currently designated Level 1, or low risk, including China, Australia, and New Zealand.
